Boat Tour
1 Day
A one-way, one-day trip from Rajahmundry to Bhadrachalam along the Godavari, through the Papikondalu gorge. It runs every day.
The boat passes the Polavaram project site, the Gandi Pochamma temple and the Papikondalu hills to the Perantapalli temple, where you change from the AC boat to a non-AC boat for the one-hour run to Pochavaram. From there the operator's vehicles (Tata Magic) take you by road to the Bhadrachalam temple, arriving around 7 PM, in time for darshan (the temple closes at 9 PM).
Breakfast and a vegetarian lunch are served on the boat.
Itinerary
7:00 AM - Departure from Rajahmundry.
- Cruise past the Polavaram project site, the Gandi Pochamma temple and the Papikondalu hills to the Perantapalli temple; breakfast and vegetarian lunch on the boat.
3:00 PM - Change from the AC boat to a non-AC boat at the Perantapalli temple.
- Non-AC boat from Perantapalli to Pochavaram (about 1 hour).
- Road journey from Pochavaram to the Bhadrachalam temple (about 2 hours) in the operator's vehicles.
7:00 PM - Arrive at the Bhadrachalam temple (darshan closes at 9:00 PM).
